Card Guarantee & No-Show Policy

How pay-at-hotel reservations are guaranteed with a card and how no-show fees are charged.

This policy governs the card guarantee taken for reservations made with the "Pay at Hotel" option on the Bedoka Platform. Bedoka is an intermediary; you pay the accommodation price to the hotel on arrival. The card guarantee is taken only to confirm the reservation is genuine and to protect against no-show risk.

1. Card Validation (1 TRY)

To guarantee the reservation, your card is validated via 3D Secure with a temporary 1 TRY authorisation, which is refunded immediately the same day. No accommodation charge is taken at the time of booking. The purpose is to confirm the card is valid and the reservation is genuinely yours.

2. Secure Card Storage

During validation, your card is stored as a secure bank token so that a no-show fee can be charged if needed. Bedoka does not store your card number or CVV; only the bank-issued token, the masked card number and the expiry date are kept. See the Stored-Card Privacy Notice for details.

3. No-Show

If you do not arrive on the check-in date and have not cancelled in advance, a no-show fee may be charged to your saved card per the rules of your rate's Cancellation/Refund Policy. The amount is determined by the rate rules shown at the booking step (up to the full amount for non-refundable rates).

  • No-show charges are made within a limited window after check-in (typically 4 days).
  • Bedoka performs the charge and settles with the hotel under the intermediary model.
  • You are informed of any charge by email.

4. Cancellation

Cancellations within your rate's free-cancellation window incur no charge. After the free window, or for non-refundable rates, the deductions in the Cancellation/Refund Policy may apply.

5. Disputes

If you believe a no-show charge is incorrect (e.g. you did check in), contact us from your reservation page. Your request is reviewed against the hotel's records and refunded where justified.

6. Data & Security

Card transactions run over 3D Secure and the bank's secure infrastructure. Your card data is not stored on Bedoka servers. For details on processing of your personal data, see the Privacy Notice and the Stored-Card Privacy Notice.
